| The Humane Society of North Central Iowa, dba "Almost Home" provides transitional care for abandoned companion animals until forever homes can be found for them. Almost Home is a limited intake shelter; no animals are euthanized for expedience sake. A new facility will be under construction in 2009 which will provide care for 98 dogs and 156 cats per day, more than doubling our current capacity. |
